Okinawan-based Nordic diet may improve mouth health
In November 2016, Igelosa collaborated with researchers at Kristianstad University on an indicative study investigating the effect of an Okinawan-based Nordic diet on patients with type 2 diabetes. The purpose of the study was to examine the effect of changing to this style of diet had on mouth health.
Over the course of two weeks, all meals and snacks were prepared, portioned and packed at Igelosa and delivered home to each participant. Preliminary results from the study showed a decrease in weight, reduction of insulin and improved mouth health.
